David Lee Morgan

Born in Berlin, grown up in Seattle and Pasco, Washington, for the last thirty years David Lee Morgan has been based in London and has travelled all over the northern hemisphere as a street musician (saxophone) and as a performance poet. He was the first Western street musician to tour East Germany and Poland in the year before the Berlin wall came down. He has won numerous slam poetry competitions including the 2010 UK Slam Championship, the 2005 London Slam Championship and the 2005 UK Champions Slam. He represented England in the 2005 IWPS in Worcester, the 2011 IWPS in Cleveland and the 2011 Coupe du Monde in Paris. He has also written novels, plays and musical theatre. His 2013 spoken word show, Science, Love and Revolution, received rave reviews and has been invited to be performed at Stanza, the international poetry festival at St. Andrews, Scotland. He holds a PhD in creative writing and philosophy at Newcastle University. He is a longstanding member of the Writers Guild of Great Britain.-Amazon
