Vladimir Gurevich
Vladimir I. Gurevich was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, in 1956.
He received an M.S.E.E. degree (1978) at the Kharkov National Technical and Agricultural University, and a Ph.D. degree (1986) at National Technical University "Kharkov Polytechnical Institute".
His employment experience includes: teacher, assistant professor and associate professor at Kharkov National Technical and Agricultural University (electrical engineering disciplines); head of research laboratory in the same university; chief engineer and director of Inventor, Ltd (Kharkov, Ukraine). Personally developed, supervised developments and organized production of electrical and electronic devices (voltage regulators, thyristor switches, high-voltage reed relays, overload protection systems, etc.) for industrial and military applications, such as: power radars, RF transmitters, industrial lasers, injectors for plasma heating, automation of power plants and substations, etc.
Military service specialization: sirdar of tactical ballistic missile system.
In 1994, he arrived in Israel and works today at Israel Electric Corp. as an Engineer-Specialist and Head of the section of the Central Electric Laboratory.
In 2006 he was Honorable Professor with the Kharkov National Technical and Agricultural University, and since 2007 he has served as an expert with the TC-94 Committee of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
