The publishing of this book culminates almost 50 years of research and the collection of information from all parts of the United States on this family line. This book contains data on the progenitor Francis HOGWOOD who died in Virginia between 1676 and 1678, an Englishman of Scottish descent who arrived in this country on or about 1650, his wife Elizabeth CREED and many of their descendants up to the year the book was published in 1984.
