A Time For Every Purpose, a novel set in nineteenth century and current day upstate New York, follows Johanna Steinhauser, a woman who lives and loves across two eras while fleeing from the depraved villains who want her dead. As she traverses between two centuries, Johanna relives the life of a civil war heroine who suffers a ruthless rape by renegade troops, a blistering barn fire, and the loss of her father and three children to a virulent strain of measles. Guts, gusto, and love for her surviving children save Johanna from the destiny of the damned as she exposes the scoundrels who pursue her through time.

This novel is based on the theory of reincarnation and the premise that our spirits travel from life to life in groups in order to work through unresolved issues. Roles and genders may change as the spirits progress toward higher levels of consciousness.
