The correspondence of Alexander von Humboldt with the Prussian crown prince and later King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. This text illuminates an exciting era of Prussian history. In the Paris cultural and scientific center he mediated the architecture interested monarch contacts with artists. After 1827 the friendly relationship with Humboldt's concern was important to make Berlin a major science center.
