The book of Revelation describes Armageddon as the place where the Antichrist will gather his troops for the final battle between good and evil. The common interpretation is that Jezreel Valley in northern Israel corresponds to Argmageddon. It is a productive agricultural area with a sophisticated irrigation system, known for its rich birdlige. From a geo-political perspective, Armageddon is situated in a region of great tension: the southern part of the valley is in Palestine, while Syria and Lebanon are just a couple of hours away by car.
