Grassroots communities in seven counries meet the challenge of ending conflict and creating peace. This important study, the result of a three-year effort by the Center for Mission Research and Study at Maryknoll and ten international pertners, illuminates how local communities face the challenge of grassroots peacemaking. Whether in Guatemala, Northen Ireland, the Philippines, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Southern Sudan, or gang warfare in the urban USA, these case studies show the practical and healing work of Christian communities in facing situations of conflict and violence.
