The Bruno Mathsson Award represents the highest honour in furniture design in Sweden and Scandinavia, and was awarded this year to Claesson Koivisto Rune, a Stockholm-based architecture and design office whose collaboration across multidisciplinary fields has garnered much praise. This compact book, published on the occasion of the award, compiles a clear, informative, and very attractive overview of their body of work, from pre-fab houses and hotel interiors to design objects like chairs, tiles, cabinets, and lamps. With detailed descriptions and many photographs, plus an essay on the history of the practice, it shows why Claesson Koivisto Rune deserves the award in 2015.
