Chronicle of the downfall of the Haitian senator Guy Philippe. He led the 2004 Haitian coup d'état that ousted Jean-Bertrand Aristide and he was a presidential candidate in the Haitian general election of 2006. On 21 June 2017, he was given a nine-year sentence by the United States Government for taking bribes from drug smugglers.
