A bilingual science Spanish/English dictionary for grades 4 and 5. Designed for the Spanish-speaking student who is taking a science class in the an English-speaking country. Very colorful. Before the dictionary entries, the editors clearly explain in Spanish not only the unique features of the dictionary but also how it is to best utilized by the student with the help of the teacher and the parents. Both explanations should be read by the student and parents. (Also, the blurb on the back cover should be read as well as it gives an important summary and purpose for the dictionary.) The vocabulary words are in Spanish and English; but the definitions are only in Spanish. The dictionary's intent is to be used as a supplement to the regular science textbook used in class. It has understandable grade-level definitions for a nine or ten year old. In the dictionary proper the words are alphabetized in Spanish; but in the index the words are alphabetized in English. After the dictionary entries there are 16 colorful science illustrations with vocabulary labeled.
