Sheren Daynab, a freshman at CCNY, details a brief history of the Banana Kelly Community Improvement Organization from the 1970's to present day. The organization was founded during the South Bronx arson era and continues to encourage residents to take initiative and rebuild their community using the motto, "don't move, improve!" Sheren presents information on the organization's struggles with funding, authority positions, and rules for current residents. She highlights Banana Kelly's top initiatives: housing security, programming, and their community garden. The zine is bound by a circle ring in the top left corner, and includes a bibliography of works cited.
