Rabbi Fish grew up and studied in Buenos Aires. After learning in Israel and managing yeshivas there, in 1981 he opened Yeshivat Daroma in Bene Beraḳ for students from Latin America. Part of each year he spent abroad in gathering funds, recruiting students, and strengthening Latin American communities.
