The book provides the main results of an analysis of a wide corpus of spoken language recorded in Catania, a town on the eastern coast of Sicily. The main focus is on code switching and code mixing between the Italian language and the Sicilian dialect. Analysis is carried out from two main perspectives: functional and syntactical.
