Joseph Pennell

An exhibition of more than 3 dozen etchings and lithographs made by Philadelphia native Joseph Pennell (1857-1926). considered a leading figure in the etching revival in America and Great Britain. The exhibition focuses on the images he made that celebrated the technological and industrial marvels that demonstrated national progress and prosperity. His subjects included: the urban scene, bridges, power stations, railways, skyscrapers, and industrial sites, all of which he referred to as "Picturesque Wonders."
