Presents the true story of Anatoly (Natan) Shcharansky in a Purim style children's book. Covers his falling in love with Avital, their marriage, her expulsion and his arrest on a Purim day. Suggests action children and families can do to win Anatoly's freedom. Natan Shcharansky was freed in 1986 and lives in Israel with Avital and their family. This was the first in a series of Soviet Jewry advocacy publications distributed by the tens of thousands as "The Soviet Jewry Holiday Series," written by Robert Lichtman for the Greater NY Conference on Soviet Jewry.
