This book was read on the Woman's Hour program on BBC in the fifties I think, and I was fascinated by the story. I had the idea I would like to read it so was delighted to find a copy on Amazon. It is an extremely well written book and captures the reader from beginning to end.

The story of how a baby owl is reared by Angela Jeans and becomes a faithful companion before being encouraged to return to the wild is a wonderfully heartwarming story. I lived it.
