"Moving Target is the memoir of journalist Ron Arias. It is an exploration of his childhood, the search for his father, and the fruit of his desire for a connection between his past and present. Arias's father was a career soldier who was held as a POW during the second World War and the Korean War. After his return to the United states, his marriage unraveled and Arias's mother died under suspicious circumstances. His father abruptly severed all ties with his sons and disappeared.
During the next fourteen years, Arias searched for his father only to find that he had died. He then set out to learn as much as he could about his father, eventually discovering that he was actually a spy. Through Arias's extensive research and his job as a reporter covering earthquakes and other disasters, his connection to his parents intensified and he began to understand them in a way that he could not when they were alive."--BOOK JACKET.
