Abstract: In this thesis we studied the interplay between host galaxy and radio source in nearby radio galaxies. In every chapter we investigated different topics related to this issue, using various observational techniques. In this final chapter [7] we combine the gained results in order to get a complete picture of the questions that we can answer with this thesis and of the questions that are raised for future research. - p.
