It reviews every game released for the system. It has screenshots for each game, and reviews many different accessories for the system. There is a explanation of the system's history, from its development to the end of the system. It was first publish in French, under the title "NES/Famicom Anthologie", in two versions "Koopa Edition", and the "NES/Famicom Anthologie: Tanuki deLuxe Edition" which was limited to 1500 copies. Then after a successful Kickstarter campaign, a translation into English was published. The English version was released in 2 formats, a "NES/Famicom Anthology: Koopa Edition" version, and a Kickstarter exclusive "NES/Famicom Anthology: Tanuki deLuxe Edition". The "Tanuki deLuxe Edition" features a special section, adding additional chapters at the end of the book, covering topics such as the hardware of the system, controlers assesories, and developer kits. The book came in a slipcase. The original French, version as a exclusive 'Edito' {Editorial} by Mathieu Manent, and Preface by Matt Murdock, for the French version only. The English version had a exclusive 'Forword' by Paul Davies. The French "Tanuki deLuxe Edition" version has front box art of the PAL region covers. The English "Tanuki deLuxe Edition" also has a additional section of USA cover art, and came with a exclusive paper bookmark. An additional section for the Japanese box art was planned, but that funding goal was not reached.
