Nostalgic Postmodernism

Lois Shawver, Ph.D.

Psychology Psychotherapy Cultural History

The book begins with the author saying, "I think I was postmodern long before I ran across the term." Then she makes the case that many therapists become postmodern without knowing it. It's a strange word so she explains it (with stories, descriptions, and references) as an evolution.

This volume is about the nostalgic phase of postmodernism, how it grows out of the culture in which we all live and how this nostalgia prepares us for a more visionary stage of postmodernism. There will be two more volumes in the series.
