Kim Stride, a 13-year-old, and her friend Sam accompany her father to Salzburg, Austria to acquire the manuscript of a lost Mozart cello concerto. While the trio are pursued through Austria, Italy and Switzerland by ominous-looking men, the quest to locate the missing manuscript is aided by Kim's visions. The plot unfolds to reveal missing family members and hidden crimes. Finally, the manuscript is found along with some startling discoveries about its past owners.
