Skinhead

Richard Allen

Emerging in England in the late 1960s the Skinhead's with their shaven heads, Doc Marten boots and thin braces longed for aggro. Football matches, pubs, dance halls and open-air pop concerts all gave them chances to vent their sadistic violence. They were the birth of the football gangs/firms which now appear worldwide, which led to violence at football matches becoming known as the 'English Disease'. Joe Hawkins and his mates feed their hunger for violence in London's East End in the early 1970s.
