For a long time, East Chicago, Indiana was a city without a hospital. More than 50 different ethnicities had settled there in the early 1890s to earn an honest wage from a thriving industrial environment. For 80 years, St. Catherine Hospital has provided compassionate care to the community of East Chicago, and to the entire Calumet Area.
