It is the second century BC in the current Netherlands, twelve year old girl Nehalennia wants to desperately look for her father, who went missing while on a trade voyage between Domburg and Gippeswic. But Mother has other plans, she made a secret deal with their tribe leader which will push Nehalennia's life in a direction she doesn't want.
