Quoting directly fron the preface, this book "has been prepared, then for all sorts and conditions of boys- young boys and old boys, little boys and big boys, in fact all those who are in any way interested in wild animals". It is written about the Zoological Society's gardens in Regents Park, London at a certain period in in English history pre WW1. It encourages a visit to the zoo which is - quote "at any time both pleasant and of educational value. Contained in this book are 41 Chapters, 8 colour plates and 64 b&w photographs.
