This is a story of the Hobbie and Sopp families whose ancestor, Elizabeth Hobbie, arrived at Ellis Island in 1901. The book is filled with the memories of family members who remember her and the stories of her integration into American life in upstate NY and NJ. It follows her children and grandchildren as the family grows.
