When J.B. Snider meets pretty Angele Levasseur, a war refugee from France, will his troubles be over-or have they just begun?...They had written "non compos mentis" on her chart, but Hilda Snider knew that was just a fancy phrase for "insane" a chuckle escaped from her throat, momentarly overriding her anger, because she had never been more alert, more aware, more sane than she was now. She knew exactly why she was lying there in the asylum on this misearable cot and staring at four gray walls. " if John Snider had lived, this wouldn't have happened" she told herself, and she was right. In a way, her present predicament was her late husband fault, but he had been hoodwinked by his devious nephew. Hilda couldn't bring herself to balme John; he had been a good and faithful companion for thrity one years. He had meant well.
