Buildings Conservation And Restoration Rococo Decoration And Ornament
Essays relating to the building of a replica church, "Hoffnungskirche," in Königshufen, a city section in Görlitz, Germany, using most of the doors and windows, interior decorations and ornament, plasterwork and vaulting from the original Rococo church, "Dreifaltigkeitskirche," in Deutsch-Ossig, Germany. Both the original church and the town where it was located were destroyed by order of the East German government in 1986 to make way for soft coal mining activities.
