Ante*metafizica

Dumitru Găleșanu

Metaphysical Poetry

Ante*metafizica : antologie lirică, ediția I, is an anthology in Romanian of philosophical poems by Dumitru Găleșanu, published in 2015. It is a bibliophile edition. The works reproduced in the volume represent poetic-philosophical creations from the books previously edited by the author, which highlight his persistence in contemplating and understanding the mysteries of life and the universe. In the preface, the critic Eugen Simion emphasizes the author's courage and difficulty in leaving a stable profession to devote himself to poetry, comparing the poet with Femios from Greek mythology, who must perfect his «craft», to survive all the challenges in such a difficult and sensitive field of activity as that of poetic creation. In the specialized literature, the profound and ultra-affective nature of Găleșanu's poetry has been emphasized, his cosmodern and trans-metaphysical approach, as being a balance between science and art, between emulation and revelation, and the anthology was appreciated «worthy of a Opera Omnia award for contemporary Romanian literature».
