Biennial report of the State Hospital at Goldsboro, Goldsboro, N.C., July 1, 1924, to June 30, 1926

Report provides detailed information concerning expansion and repairs to hospital grounds, patient and financial data. Primary request was for funds towards the purchase of additional farmland, which would allow for more income and lower boarding costs for patients. Of special note was the opening of a new more heavily-secured building for the criminally insane who, in 1924, were brought from the State Prison in Raleigh. Following introductory statements by Superintendent Dr. W.W. Faison, the Clinical Director, Building Committee, Engineer, Farmers, Seamstress, Housekeeper, and Auditor report on activities and expenses in their departments. Includes detailed information concerning the movement, treatment, and status of the patient population, farm and dairy production, sewing room production. Includes the report on audits for the two fiscal years ending June 30, 1926 submitted by Baxter Durham, State Auditor.
